Our view: professional firms and construction firms are the two largest groups, and a customer searching for either has a lot of small firms to compare. We would begin with the searches for the specific service you sell, in the part of the borough you serve, rather than the borough name on its own.

Google showed an AI Overview and no map pack. There were no paid ads, and the result count shown was 92. We could read nine organic results: eight were agency service or location pages and one was an agency blog page. Designbrothers.co.uk was first, followed by Optisearch and Footprint. Brambla was not in the top nine.
The 29 August 2026 capture also had an AI Overview and no map pack, and had included a social media post among the results; the nine on 4 October did not. Google Ads put the average monthly UK volume for “seo bromley” at 90 (12-month average, pulled 4 October 2026), a small number we would not build a plan on. This is one capture rather than a ranking check, and results differ by location and by day.
Our view: with eight of nine results being agency location pages, another page saying the same things would add little. What helps a searcher is specifics: which parts of the borough, which services, what it costs.

The results reflect the split: on 29 August 2026 the top page covered London, Surrey and Kent, and another top-ten page described itself as serving Bromley, Kent. Neither is wrong. They are just aimed at different customers.

Beckenham reads as inner south London and Biggin Hill reads as a Kent village, so a page written for the borough boundary usually serves neither. We would rather build for the two or three areas that actually produce your enquiries.
