HOW WE CONTACT YOU

How we contact you

We only ever email you from an @brambla.co.uk address (usually hello@brambla.co.uk), and by phone on 020 8050 2803.

• We never email you from a Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or other personal/free email address.
• We never ask for urgent payments, domain renewals or bank-detail changes by email.
• If we look after your domain as part of your plan, we renew it for you — you won't be asked to act urgently to keep your site online.
• We build on Next.js, never WordPress — if a message pushes a “WordPress update”, it isn't from us.

A current scam to watch for

We're aware of emails that impersonate our founders, Sam and Harriet Butcher, and target Brambla clients. There have been three so far. If you've received a message matching any of these descriptions, it is not from us.

What happened, and what we did: Web Design Agency Impersonation Scams.

The newest one, 22 October 2026:

• Sent from hello.brambla.co@gmail.com. It looks like our address, but it's a Gmail address, not @brambla.co.uk
• Pretends to be Harriet and signs off as “Harriet Butcher, Co-founder, Brambla”
• Subject line: “Important WordPress Platform Update for Your Website”. There is no required update
• Talks about getting your website ready for AI search and asks you to reply so it can “take care of the update”

The second one, mid October 2026:

• Sent from hello.brambla.co.uk@gmail.com. It looks like our address, but it's a Gmail address, not @brambla.co.uk
• Says it is from “Sam Butcher, Owner of Bramble Website” and may show our logo or a photo
• Says your website needs updates “ahead of the October 15 deadline”. There is no deadline
• Offers a WordPress platform update, plugins and SEO set-up, and asks you to reply so they can “proceed”

The first one, September 2026:

• Sent from sam.bramble.co.uk@gmail.com — note the misspelling (“bramble” with an e) and that it's a Gmail address, not @brambla.co.uk
• Subject line: “Important Domain Renewal Notice”
• Claims your domain must be renewed before 28 September or your site will go offline
• Pitches SEO, CRO, speed and security “updates”, and WordPress work — we don't build on WordPress, so any offer of WordPress updates is an immediate red flag

If you see any of these emails, or anything like them, it did not come from Brambla.

What to do if you get one

• Don't reply, click any links, or pay anything.
• Forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk — the UK's National Cyber Security Centre — then delete it.
• If you've already paid or shared bank details, call your bank straight away, and report it to Report Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
