Sussex has not been a single administrative county for a very long time — East Sussex, West Sussex and the city of Brighton and Hove are three separate authorities — but nobody told the search box. Our studio is in Northlew in west Devon, which is most of the south coast away from Chichester and further still from Rye. We have no Sussex address, no Sussex phone number and no intention of renting either to look local. Sussex work runs remotely, and we would rather win it on published prices, a written monthly report and being able to change the website ourselves than on a postcode we do not have.
There was no map pack on this search
When we captured the Sussex search on 29 August 2026 there were no map results at all — an AI Overview sat above nineteen ordinary organic results instead. So no postcode-gated slots were being handed out, and this is a search won on pages rather than pins. Two of those results, incidentally, were near-identical domains, which is worth knowing if you think you are comparing two different agencies. Your own location still decides your town-level map results. Ours does not.
