How this page was made

We research and draft our pages with AI tools, including Anthropic's Claude. A person at Brambla then reviews and edits every page before it goes live. How we use AI

Brambla is an SEO agency working across Kent. We were founded in Maidstone in 2023 and our studio is now in Devon, so Kent is served remotely at the same published prices. SEO Care is our ongoing search service at £95, £175 or £295 a month, VAT-inclusive.

Search “seo kent”, “kent seo” or “seo agency kent” and you get a page of agencies, almost none of which will tell you a price before a call. Ours are on this page instead. The same three plans cover local SEO across all thirteen Kent districts, from Dartford and Sevenoaks in the west through Maidstone and Tonbridge to Canterbury, Thanet and the Folkestone coast.

Kent in Numbers: Who Your Customers Can Choose Instead

Official counts for Kent County Council and Medway added together.

From the ONS UK Business Counts 2026 (published through Nomis), covering VAT and/or PAYE registered enterprises. Very small unregistered sole traders are not in the count. ONS rounds each figure to the nearest five, and we added the Kent and Medway rows together ourselves.

  • 76,150 registered enterprises in Kent and Medway, of which 68,645 (90.1%) employ fewer than ten people.
  • Construction is the largest group, at about 14,605 enterprises (19.2%).
  • Professional, scientific and technical firms come next, at about 11,625 (15.3%).
  • Wholesale, retail and motor trades follow with about 9,860 (12.9%), then administrative and support services at about 6,525 (8.6%).
  • Information and communication is fifth, at about 4,785 (6.3%).

Our view: with nearly one enterprise in five in construction, a Kent builder or contractor is rarely the only one a customer can find, so that is the kind of search we would look at first. For professional and trade firms, a page for each service and each town you cover usually matters more than a single homepage.

What a Search for "SEO Kent" Showed on 4 October 2026

One desktop look at Google UK, written down as it was.

Google showed a local map pack of three businesses, with seokent.net and eastkentseo.com among the domains listed. There was no AI Overview and no paid ads above the results. Google gave a result count of 143,000.

Of the ten organic results, we read six as agency pages, three as directory or list pages (Sortlist, Zipleaf and a Yelp listing) and one as an Indeed jobs page for SEO roles in Kent. The first result was an agency page at smartwebagency.co.uk. Brambla was not in the top ten, and this is one capture rather than a ranking check, so results will differ by location and by day.

How much does SEO cost in Kent?

SEO Care is £95 (The Essential), £175 (The Growth Partner) or £295 (The Elite Performance) a month, VAT-inclusive, with no setup fee and no minimum term. Upgrade or cancel any time. Google Business Page Setup & Verify is a £95 one-off add-on, separate from SEO Care. What each tier includes is on the SEO Care page.

For comparison: of the page-one agencies we could check for SEO in Kent in August 2026, none published a price. We tried to fetch the three top-ranking pages — two of them, Level Up Leads and SEO Kent, carried no monthly figure anywhere on the page, and the third, HD Create, refused our request outright, so we cannot say either way. We are not claiming to be better than any of them; we are saying you can see what we charge before you speak to us.

SEO in Maidstone, Where We Started

The county town has its own search market, and it is the one we know best.

Brambla was founded in Maidstone, Kent, in 2023 before the studio moved to Devon, so Maidstone is the part of the county we know from the inside. SEO Care covers ME14, ME15, ME16 and ME20 and the surrounding villages at the same £95, £175 or £295 a month. Maidstone searches behave like a county town rather than a commuter suburb: real town-centre trade, strong local service intent, and professional and B2B firms along the M20 corridor competing with Ashford and Medway as much as with each other. If you want the website side as well, our Maidstone web design page covers builds and prices.

SEO Across All Thirteen Kent Districts

Dartford to Dover is over 60 miles, so one page saying Kent rarely covers it.

We work with businesses right across Kent — Maidstone, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Folkestone and Bromley, plus Dartford, Gravesend, Medway, Sittingbourne, Dover and Thanet. Tonbridge has its own SEO section on the Tonbridge page. SEO Care is the same service and the same published price wherever you trade in the county: £95, £175 or £295 a month.

We Are Not in the Kent Map Results

Founded in Maidstone, based in Devon — here is exactly what that means for you.

The map pack belongs to Kent-based agencies

When we checked the “seo kent” search in August 2026 there was a fixed three-business local pack, all of them small agencies with genuine Kent addresses. That is how the local results are supposed to work, and no amount of SEO changes it for a business based in Devon. We compete in the ordinary organic results instead. If a nearby address is what you want, those firms have one and we do not.

What we bring instead

Roots that are real rather than rented: Brambla started in Maidstone, so Kent is not a service-area page we bolted on. Add published prices, a written report every month, and the fact that the people doing the SEO also build the site, so a page change happens the same week rather than being raised as a ticket. Meetings in Kent or in London when a project warrants it.

Websites and SEO Together

The people doing the SEO can also change the site.

Closer to the studio, we also run SEO Care across Devon and Cornwall.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does SEO cost in the UK?

At Brambla, we will not pretend there is a single UK number. Monthly SEO in this country runs from under £100 a month for a light local plan to several thousand a month for national campaigns, and most agencies quote privately rather than publish anything. Of the page-one agencies we could check for SEO in Kent in August 2026, none published a price — two of the top three pages carried no figure at all, and the third blocked our request entirely. Ours are published: £95, £175 or £295 a month, VAT-inclusive.

How much should I expect to pay for SEO?

At Brambla, we would rather set out the tiers than quote a single number, the way we have since the business started in Maidstone. SEO Care is £95, £175 or £295 a month, VAT-inclusive, with no setup fee and no minimum term, whether you are in Maidstone or anywhere else in Kent. What each tier includes is on our SEO Care page. Creating and verifying a Google Business Profile from scratch is separate: a £95 one-off add-on, not a monthly plan.

Do I need a Kent-based SEO agency?

At Brambla, our honest answer is no, but you should know where we actually are. Brambla was founded in Maidstone and our roots are genuinely in Kent, but our studio is now in Devon — we do not have a Kent office and we are not going to invent one. The map results for SEO in Kent are held by a fixed set of genuinely Kent-addressed agencies, and if having someone down the road matters to you, one of them may suit you better. What matters more for the work itself is whether the agency understands your market, publishes its prices, and can change the website when the SEO needs it. We serve Kent remotely, at the same published prices, and can meet in Kent or in London when a project warrants it.

Do you cover Maidstone?

At Brambla, yes — Maidstone is where the business was founded, so it is the part of Kent we know best. We work with businesses across ME14, ME15, ME16 and ME20 and the surrounding villages, and Maidstone searches behave like a county town rather than a London commuter belt: strong local intent, a real town-centre trade, and professional services along the M20 corridor competing with Ashford and Medway as much as with each other. SEO Care is the same £95, £175 or £295 a month there as anywhere else.

How do I do local SEO in Kent?

At Brambla, we would start with the Google Business Profile: the right categories, real photos, correct opening hours, a service area matching the ME, TN, CT, DA and BR postcodes you actually work in, and genuine reviews asked for consistently. Then give the website a page for each service and for the towns you cover, so Maidstone, Canterbury, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells are not all fighting over one homepage. Keeping your name, address and phone number identical across directories does most of the rest. Kent is thirteen council areas wide, so a Dartford business and a Folkestone business are competing in different searches even though both say Kent.

How many businesses are there in Kent to compete with?

At Brambla, the ONS UK Business Counts 2026 (published through Nomis) list 76,150 VAT and/or PAYE registered enterprises in Kent County Council and Medway combined, and 68,645 of them (90.1%) employ fewer than ten people. Unregistered sole traders are not counted, so the real number of businesses is higher. ONS rounds each figure to the nearest five, and we added the Kent and Medway rows ourselves.

Which kinds of Kent business are most numerous?

At Brambla, by the same ONS 2026 count, construction is the largest group in Kent and Medway at about 14,605 enterprises (19.2%), followed by professional, scientific and technical firms at about 11,625 (15.3%) and wholesale, retail and motor trades at about 9,860 (12.9%). Administrative and support services (about 6,525) and information and communication (about 4,785) complete the top five. These are registered enterprises, not search volumes, so it is a guide to how crowded a trade is rather than how many people search for it.

What did Google show for "seo kent" when you looked?

At Brambla, on 4 October 2026 a desktop search on Google UK showed a local pack of three businesses, no AI Overview and no paid ads. Of the ten organic results we read six as agency pages, three as directory or list pages and one as a jobs page, and Brambla was not among them. It was one capture, and results vary by location and by day, so treat it as a snapshot rather than a ranking.

Where would you start for a Kent builder or trade firm?

At Brambla, this is our view rather than a guarantee. Construction is the biggest group of registered enterprises in Kent and Medway, so a customer searching for a builder or contractor has many to choose from. We would start with the Google Business Profile, then a page for each service and for the towns you cover, so a Dartford job and a Folkestone job are not both asked to rely on one homepage.

Do you guarantee rankings?

At Brambla, no — and we would say the same in Maidstone as anywhere else, because it is true everywhere. Google does not sell positions and does not publish exactly how it ranks a page, so a guaranteed number one is a promise no agency actually has the power to keep. What we guarantee instead is the work: the time in your plan spent on your site and your listings, and a written report every month setting out exactly what was done and what we recommend next.
