Surrey had the most network-saturated results of the counties we researched this month, and a good share of the agencies at the top are not Surrey agencies at all. Half of Page One Is a Template With the County Name Swapped
What we actually found when we pulled the Surrey results on 29 August 2026.
Surrey was the most network-saturated of the counties in our research batch. At least five of the top ten organic results were location pages belonging to national multi-location agencies, running the same page shape for lots of other places. One of those brands appeared again in our Essex results and again in our Bromley results, publishing an identical price ladder on both of those.
None of that makes them bad at the job. But it does mean the page you are reading may not have been written about Surrey at all, and the agency behind it may have no more presence in Guildford than we do. The difference is that we are telling you.
The other thing we found: of those top three pages, two published no price at all, and the one that did published two different starting figures on the same page — one in its headline, a higher one in its body copy. We are not naming it and we are not suggesting it was deliberate. We are saying that when the single published price in a market disagrees with itself, comparing agencies on cost is harder than it should be.
What Does SEO in Surrey Actually Involve?

For comparison: we fetched the three top-ranking pages for SEO in Surrey on 29 August 2026. Two carried no figure at all — one offering a free consultation, the other observing that with the right budget SEO is entirely worth the investment. When we captured the Surrey search on 29 August 2026 there was a three-business local pack held by small local firms — two with named Surrey towns, Guildford and Oxted — and notably none of them were the national networks filling the organic results beneath. Those map slots go to businesses with a presence in the area, and we do not compete for them. Your own address still decides your map results. Ours does not.
