A 189-year-old Colchester jeweller and pawnbroker. We built their site from a supplied design on Umbraco CMS and migrated it to a private OVH VPS - giving them full ownership of hosting and infrastructure tuned to a high-value product catalogue.

The Challenge

E.J. Markham & Son has been trading from Priory Street, Colchester since 1836 - one of the longest-running independent jewellers and pawnbrokers in the UK. They came to us with a finished design that needed building into a fast, reliable Umbraco site and moving onto private hosting they fully controlled - away from shared infrastructure and onto a setup built around their catalogue, traffic patterns and security needs.

The Solution

We built the supplied design end-to-end in Umbraco CMS and deployed to a dedicated OVH VPS, configured for performance, security and full client ownership. The result: a fast, image-led site with a rotating watch and jewellery catalogue, dedicated journeys for pawn / sell / loan-against by asset class, integrated appointment booking - running on infrastructure the client fully owns.
